A Turkish-made 4×4 tactical wheeled armored vehicle enters the Hungarian market

Turkish armored vehicle manufacturer Nurol Makina launches a wheeled tactical armored vehicle (TWAV) on the Hungarian market.

Wheeled tactical armored vehicles such as Yörük and Ejder Yalçın are now produced at its modern facilities in the capital Ankara.

Turkish armored vehicle manufacturer Nurol Makina made its debut in the European market by launching its first overseas business in Hungary.

Nurol Makina has made a name for itself with its recent export successes. It meets the needs of allied countries as well as Turkey with its 4×4 Wheeled Tactical Armored Vehicles (TWAV)such as Yörük and Ejder Yalçın, produced at its modern facilities in the capital Ankara.

The Turkish defense industry company has introduced new products and vehicles with increased capabilities to users around the world in 2021, general manager of Nurol Makina Engin Aykol told Anadolu Agency (AA).

Aykol said that with the experience of Nurol Group, which has international organizations in different sectors, especially in the defense industry, they implemented the first organic structuring of Nurol Makina overseas. Noting that they established Nurol Makina Hungary in this context, Aykol said their activities in Hungary started with the contract signed in 2019.

The domestically manufactured armored vehicles had entered the inventory of European Union and NATO member Hungary in September 2019, becoming the sixth country in the world and the first EU country to choose the vehicle .

Expressing that they have implemented a long-term program, Aykol said that they have started delivery of Ejder Yalçın and Yörük 4×4 wheeled tactical armored vehicles and this process will continue in the coming days.

Aykol also provided information on the company structure and activities of Nurol Makina in Hungary. “Hungarian army-specific solutions will be created,” Aykol said, noting that the automaker will carry out in-country activities such as design, production and assembly with a local partner.

“It is also intended for export through Hungary. It will be a dynamic part of the Hungarian defense industry. The company will participate in activities ranging from product support to the development of new vehicles. Hungary is carrying out an exemplary military modernization project,” Aykol said, adding that they are proud to be part of such a development.

“With the support of Neurol Makina, with the participation of Hungarian engineers, we aim to produce the best 4×4 vehicles in the region,” he added.

“A solid after-sales service”

Aykol said the vehicles are used by armies and security officials for different purposes such as counter-terrorism operations, intervention in social events and combat. Explaining that the vehicles are used in harsh conditions such as deserts, swamps, wintry conditions, wooded areas and rocks in the countries they are exported to, Aykol said they offer strong after-sales service. .

Turkey’s locally manufactured wheeled armored vehicles have added new markets to its export success after gaining worldwide fame with its multiple features.

Stating that the vehicles they have produced have successfully served in 18 countries, Aykol said, “Our Nurol Makina signed vehicles are used in a wide area from Chile to Malaysia, from Senegal to Uzbekistan.”

“We have made almost all of our turnover abroad. We have successfully represented our country abroad with the quality of our products and contributed to the economy through foreign exchange-generating activities,” Aykol said, noting that the share of exports in the turnover of the company has steadily grown in recent years.
