The Hungarian butcher opens his shop this fall

The Hungarian butcher is gearing up for a fall opening at 2177 W Dublin-Granville Rd. in Linworth.
The operation will be led by local chef Dan Varga, who has built his experience in kitchens across the city, from Oscar’s and Tucci’s in Dublin, to The Refectory and Ray Ray’s.
“It’s been a dream come true for me and I’m so excited to share this news with the people and friends who have followed and supported me for years,” Varga said in a press release.
The new store will give Varga’s Hungarian traditions a permanent home after operating the business as a appear.
The Hungarian butcher will showcase a combination of old and new recipes building on the classics taught to Varga by his first-generation Hungarian immigrant grandmother.
Charcuterie and other “meat treats” available at the Butcher Shop will include deli meats like Szalonna, Kolbasz, Sonka, Lonza and a variety of paprika sausages, salamis, bacon, head cheese, hams and more . Classic Hungarian dishes like cabbage rolls will also make an appearance. Varga is committed to working with local farmers, suppliers and sustainable farms in Ohio.
